Save a Life with AUPS is a collaboration between Aberdeen University Paediatric Society (AUPS) and the Royal Lifesaving Society (RLSS) UK.

RLSS UK is the national drowning prevention charity. Part of its extensive work involves teaching first aid to members of the community. Click here to find out more about their work.

 

Save a Life with AUPS

Save a Life with AUPS provides Save a Baby’s Life and Save a Child’s Life workshops the local community in Aberdeen.  Workshops are provided on set dates to members of the general public and to community groups.

Workshops are taught by Year 1 to 4 medical students at the University of Aberdeen who have undertaken additional Community Instructor and Life Support 3 training with RLSS UK.

​

Workshops are completely FREE of charge, however, we do offer the opportunity to donate to RLSS UK at the end of each workshop.

About us

Important points to note
  • We are only able to teach the content of the courses provided by RLSS UK and answer questions relating to workshop material.

  • We therefore may be unable to answer all questions related to workshop material immediately at the workshops and may have to contact our superiors at the University of Aberdeen Medical School and/or RLSS UK before we answer your question by email.

  • We are unqualified to answer any health or medical related questions relating you you or any other person and will advise you to contact your GP or health visitor if any such questions are raised.
